It saddens me that some Messianic "synagogues" sound like churches from the pulpit. Sometimes I feel like an evangelist to Messianic Gentiles and "indoctrinated" Messianic Jews. My heart is screaming that they have forgotten the Father Yud-Hey-Vav-Hey.

We believe...

  • Yeshua is the Messiah.

  • His blood is our atonement.

  • His being without sin makes him a form of diety.

  • He died and rose again.

  • He will be coming back to reign in Yerusalem.

Okay, now that we have established that, let's take a look at Yochanan chaper 17

1 After Yeshua had said these things, he looked up toward heaven and said, "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you -- He is not talking to himself, correct?

2 just as you gave him authority over all mankind, so that he might give eternal life to all those whom you have given him. Yeshua is speaking to the father who gave him something!

3 And eternal life is this: to know you, the one true God, and him whom you sent, Yeshua the Messiah. The Father sent him.

4 "I glorified you on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. The father gave him work to do.

5 Now, Father, glorify me alongside yourself. Give me the same glory I had with you before the world existed. Yeshua was with and alongside the father.

I made your name known to the people you gave me out of the world. They were yours, you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. I would wager real money on the fact that you can get 10 born again Christians together and it will be surprising if any of them will say the father's name is Yehovah (I know we don't know the vowels). Many will of course say Jehovah, but that is not his name. That came into being in the 16th century in the Gentile bibles that were published at that time.

7 Now they know that everything you have given me is from you, The father gave him everything.

8 because the words you gave me I have given to them, and they have received them. They have really come to know that I came from you, and they have come to trust that you sent me.

9 "I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given to me, because they are yours.

10 Indeed, all I have is yours, and all you have is mine, and in them I have been glorified.

11 Now I am no longer in the world. They are in the world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, guard them by the power of your name. (There is power, power, wonder working power in the name of Yehovah!) which you have given to me, so that they may be one, just as we are.

12 When I was with them, I guarded them by the power of your name, (There is power, power, wonder working power in the name of Yehovah!) which you have given to me; yes, I kept watch over them; and not one of them was destroyed (except the one meant for destruction, so that the Tanakh might be fulfilled).

26 I made your name known to them, and I will continue to make it known; so that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I myself may be united with them."

And now Colossians Chapter 1...

3 Whenever we pray, we always give thanks for you to God, the Father of our Lord Yeshua the Messiah. This defines who Shaul is speaking of when he says God.

9 Therefore, from the day we heard of it, we have not stopped praying for you, asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will in all the wisdom and understanding which the Spirit gives;

10 so that you may live lives worthy of the Lord and entirely pleasing to him, being fruitful in every good work and multiplying in the full knowledge of God.

11 We pray that you will be continually strengthened with all the power that comes from his glorious might; so that you will be able to persevere and be patient in any situation, joyfully

12 giving thanks to the Father for having made you fit to share in the inheritance of his people in the light.

21 In other words, you, who at one time were separated from God and had a hostile attitude towards him because of your wicked deeds, (Are you still mentally and emotionally separated from the father although your relationship with Yeshua is a good one? Not hostile, but separated not spritually but mentally and emotionally?)
